about

Have you ever heard of a city called Squamish? That was the background necessary to the Canadian Nathan Hall to strike an appropriate balance for his creative journey. His debut EP has gradually been taking shape under the nexus between artist-locus. Nathan is an experimental sounds rock climber, avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast and in a work, that is part-memoir, part-discover, part-tribute he certainly did not skimp on the effort to tell us that our home is wherever we are.

Squamish means "mother of the wind" in the Squamish’s native language. The meaning strongly relates on this three-track-EP’s concept. Its melodies slowly stretch and fold like clouds in the sky. It is windy, thick and, if so, mildly warm. An intimate glimpse into lofty and rugged grooves just as Squamish is. Nathan’s friend, the talented Lan Yao kindly provided the artwork. Her fine-tuned traces navigates along an underlined tie. The permeable boundary between light and darkness. Do you want to go there? For more info, check the credits.

This EP is intentionally modest. However, we can note with enjoyment that it is sure to be quite a magical surprise. He will guide you in a small escape from thoughts, a heavily effected one-off adventure.
